SmartSolar – Additionally to BlueSolar, it has Bluetooth built in so can be programmed using your phone.
MPPT vs PWM?
An MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controller matches its internal resistance to the solar panel Characteristic Resistance, drawing power at the Maximum Power Point. A PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controller pulls the solar panel voltage down to just above battery voltage, away from the Maximum Power Point of the panel. MPPT is up to 30% more efficient.
